The Royal Air Force Museum will act as the backdrop for RAF100 Interoperability Workshop. As Britain’s only national museum dedicated wholly to aviation, the site houses a world-class aircraft collection, integrated with special media, memorabilia and facilities. The Museum takes an innovative approach while keeping with tradition, a perfect match to support the cross-collaborative solutions that the Interoperability Workshop will produce.
At present, the RAF Museum is starting a programme of capital transformation to mark the RAF's Centenary in 2018. The facilities will be finished in time for the Workshop showcase.
The London site is situated on what used to be RAF Hendon. It holds over 95 aircraft in four themed aircraft halls.
The museum is 10 minutes from Junction 4 of the M1, 30 minutes from Central London by Tube, and a 7 minute bus ride from Colindale Underground Station. There are also plenty of services located in close proximity to the site.
